A New Year and A new Decade- Are You Ready?

We are ending the year 2019. A lot has happened since the beginning of the year until now. Some successes have been achieved while we experienced some failures also. All in all we are thankful for the experiences that the year brought us because we have become better with these experiences.
As we look back, we must recall that every moment matters. It is the culmination of our experiences that have made us who we are.

The real question now is, are you ready for the coming year and decade? The year 2020. The year in which the world achieves most of the vision it set for itself in what is known as vision 2020.

Just keep hope alive and have faith that better days are coming and you'll get there only if you keep going.

The Divine Initiative: Season’s Greetings

The Divine Initiative: Season’s Greetings:
I know what the devil will say to you.  He will say to you, ‘You are a sinner!’ Tell him you know you are, but that for all that you are justified.  He will tell you of the greatness of your sin.  Tell him of the greatness of Christ’s righteousness.  He will tell you of all your mishaps and your backslidings, of your offences and your wanderings.  Tell him, and tell your own conscience, that you know all that, but that Jesus Christ came to save sinners, and that, although your sin be great, Christ is quite able to put it all away.
- Charles Spurgeon

Happy Thanksgiving, You’re the bomb!

Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner? And then he said to them, ‘Rise and go; your faith has made you well.’
(Luke 17: 16 -18)
Saying "thank you" is imperatively important not for the person we are thanking but for us, so that what we are thankful for can be whole and permanent.
On this thanksgiving season,I want to appreciate everyone who has been part of the story of my life. I appreciate every contribution you have made in making me who I am today and who I will become tomorrow.

You're the bomb! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and friends.

THANKSGIVING

In a few days the whole of America will be celebrating thanksgiving, a season where friends and family gather together with the aim of showing and expressing appreciation for everything that the past year has brought them.
Aside the meals that feel kitchens across the country, it is the expression of humanity, the sharing of time together, the laughter and moments that make the experience worthwhile.
It is a time to whisper "a big thank you" to your loved ones for the times you've shared and to commit to all the times the future may bring.
This is not a time just for the cameras, no fakes. It is a time to express your real self.

Some of those that you will be gather around may have said things about you that you don't know. It does not mean you should stop smiling with them.

Only you can tell why you feel so appreciative of the life you have.

Laying my mother to rest.

This Saturday, June 1st 2019, my late mother will be laid to rest in her holy village of Dordoekofe opposite Ada Technical Institute on the Ada road. She died after a brief illness on February 24th, 2019. These are very difficult and challenging times for me and my family.
I take consolation from the words of John Newton which says
Though dark be my way
since He is mu guide
it is mine to obey, it is His to provide
The bitter is sweet, the medicine is food,
though painful at present, t'll cease before long
and then, o how pleasant the conquerors song

Oppotunity or Destiny

We all have dreams. Some are big while others are small but they are all dreams. Dreams have been part of us growing up. You grow up at home and dream of the day you will join your siblings if you had any go to school. Then sooner or later you are old enough to start school, yet that dream becomes something you are scared of. Remember my first day at school? Then the dream changes to getting promoted to the next class.

Life is like that. Once one dream is accomplished a new dream surfaces, the absence of which makes life  less challenging and boring. The dream to write and pass your first exams at the end of your elementary school followed by the dream to write and pass your Junior High school final exams which leads to the Senior High school. Now your dreams are about getting into college or university.

In all these dream, we find that everyone has these dreams but not everyone achieves them at the time they want to. The reason being some have the opportunity to achieve their dreams others are not able for one reason or the other. How does destiny come to play in all these?

Most often our dreams are not aligned with our destiny and so they fizzle out with time even with the right opportunity. What we carry is not only to be a blessing to us but to others. For example, Bill Gates may have founded Microsoft, which has made him one of the richest people on earth today, but the product Microsoft is helping many in business and education as well as other spheres of life.

If Bill Gates had not founded Microsoft, we world wouldn't be able to make use of his products and that probably wouldn't have made him as rich as he is today. We must therefore not treat our dreams lightly because others might depend on our dreams for theirs.

We are in this world to make it better in every way than we met it for posterity. The choices we make, the decisions we make, the beliefs we have, have a way of affecting the dreams we have or carry.

Let us guard our dreams jealously and work towards achieving them no matter how long it takes they would certainly bring change if not to the world, certainly to us.

Bidding Farewell to 2018 and Welcoming 2019

It is normal around this time of the year for people take stock of their activities and make resolutions for the coming year never mind that some of which will not be kept.
For some the year was fulfilling but for others the year was disappointing. It does not matter which group you fall in what is important now is that since there is life there certainly is hope that things will change since nothing is permanent in this world.
The past 365 days presented opportunities some of which we took advantage of while others we did not realize. Another 365 days of opportunities has been gifted us, hopefully  we are able to discover what these opportunities are and grab them.
You may have had many dreams in the past year that did not materialize, you may have been expecting something that never came to pass. You may have even had revelations from "The I am "but it seems empty just because the year has ended. Despite all these keeping an attitude of gratefulness and gratitude is important.

If we go through the 2019 with the spirit of gratitude we would always be happy for whatever happens to us because we know it is for our good. The worse sometimes must happen for the best to emerge.

Resolve in 2019 to make a difference in someone's life.
Throughout 2019 don't be so thirsty for opportunity that you grab on anything that looks like one. Finally, be strong and expect the storm but you have the power to overcome it.
